International School Award
The International School Award
The International School Award is a British Council accreditation scheme rewarding those schools with a notable global element in their curriculum. The aim is to encourage our children to celebrate difference and diversity and to develop into caring, respectful global citizens who actively participate in all areas of the local community, whilst developing an understanding of their contribution to the wider world. In a globalized world that is becoming increasingly connected, at WHA we believe it is important to give children a head start in language acquisition and learning about other cultures within our world.
There are three entry points for schools to achieve the International School Award: Foundation, Intermediate, and Accreditation. Last year, we worked towards and have achieved the Intermediate Level Award, which is the stepping stone to working towards full accreditation.
